Find out more about the 2017 C-Prize wearable technology challenge.
New Zealand innovators and entrepreneurs are being challenged to turn industries on their head by creating the next generation of wearable technology. To do this, entrants need to create a hardware-software wearable solution that captures and processes user data and communicates feedback allowing the user to act to enhance their outcome.
We’ve chosen three themes we know matter to New Zealand: Live Healthier, Work Safer and Play Smarter. You can choose to participate in one or more of the challenges outlined below.
Technology track 1: Live Healthier
New Zealanders are facing numerous challenges when it comes to health and wellbeing. Obesity, mental health, raising healthy children, caring for the elderly, cardiovascular disease, cancer, rehabilitation. Improving health outcomes is an opportunity for all of us.
Technology Track 2: Work Safer
Work safety is an imperative for everyone in New Zealand. In some work situations, unexpected risks can require us to act fast and make quick clear decisions to prevent injury or harm
TEchnology Track 3: Play Smarter
New Zealand punches well above its weight on the world stage when it comes to sporting performance and the pursuit of human endeavour. We all love striving to win and the enjoyment that comes from pushing ourselves to new limits.
